Savings Jar is a fun and motivational tool to help you save towards a goal with your loose change and other small sums of money. Part savings tracker and part vision board, Savings Jar lets you keep track of your progress as you add to your savings each day. When you save enough each day, Savings Jar will award a bronze, silver or gold star to help keep you motivated and on track to achieve your savings goal. Features: - - Create a goal with a target amount that you want to save towards - Add savings and keep track of the total you’ve saved - Earn bronze, silver and gold stars for your goal depending on how well you save - Add a picture of your goal to the vision board to help you visualise what you’re saving for - Give yourself from as little as 1 day to 999 days to achieve your goal - Use the Savings Jar reports to see the progress you’re making towards your goal - See how much you have left to save as well as how much you need to save each day to reach your goal If you’re a parent, why not create a Savings Jar goal with your children and get them into the saving habit? If you’re saving up for something yourself, use Savings Jar to keep track of how you’re doing. Try and pick something to go without each day, and put the amount you save towards your Savings Jar goal. Savings Jar works with any decimal based currency system - if you want to think of your values saved in terms of dollars, pounds, euros etc., that’s fine. Savings Jar won’t mind. Savings Jar provides similar functionality to, but is not compatible with the iPad version of Saving Jar.

This is the best app for the mac for saving for your goal. This app let you have a picture of what you want, tells you the percented of your progress, how much more do you need and how much you have to save a day to reach that goal. best app on the mac app store 100/10.

This is a great visual simple app, however I would like to be able to enter in a goal larger than 99 days ahead. I didnt like that I discovered this AFTER we purchased the app. Other than that, its good.

this is a cool idea…but 99 days into the future is too limiting. This is for short term goals only until we get an update.

When I first saw this app I thought great! The reason I purchased this app is because I have found my dream home and I am 22 now and plan to save for years for huge down payment. I wanted to stay motivated so I really wanted something I could see everyday on my MacBook and iPhone. In short this app only lets you keep track of small amounts for the month. I would be so much nicer if you could create a big savings goal (Say for like 1,000,000 or 900,000) and also if it could be on the home screen like a screen saver so that way you could see it all the time and stay motivated that would be perfect! But the app itself is very nice. It lets you see your target goal, how many days you have left, how much youve saved, the percentage of how much you have completed, the amount needed to reach your goal, and the date you should complete your goal! To be honest I would have loved to give this 5 stars it has EVERYTHING, BUT it doesnt let you put in a large savings goal. If it did that would be amazing. Maybe one day this will get updated and let us do this? Because I looked around on all the apps in the app store and I could not find one like this. All the others included monthly exspenes and checking and all that. A simple "piggy bank" is much better afterall people have their checking accounts for that. Please update so the savings goals can be larger and for longer durations of time (Say years). Hope this review was helpful.
