Scratchpad allows you to quickly write anything down from menubar or Today widget. Dont search for a pen and a piece of paper when you need to jot something down talking on the phone next time. Scratchpad is always just one click away. There are no folders and other complicated features that always get in the way when you need to quickly write something down. Its as simple as it gets. And for the times when you want a bit more organization, you can easily export your text into Evernote or Notes app (and if you have a new MacBook Pro you can do so using the Touch Bar).
