Screen Capture & Recorder at Mac App Store analyse

When this works, it is exactly what I want: easy, intuitive…perfect for me. Unfortunately, it crashes…a lot. For every two successful captures I get, I get a hang in the program causing me to quit the app (and lose the capture). I wish at least that it would preserve what it had recorded up to that point.

The application is ok but after recording you can’t bring the app to the forefront to work on the video you just recorded and to maybe begin another video. Instead you have to quit the application and relaunch it after each movie to do any editing or to start a new recording. This is a real pain and needs to be addressed. Also you can’t readjust your setting once they are set.

Just does not work. No instructions, No support.

You can start a screen capture, but there is no way to stop it and save the video. The documented ways to use the app flat out do not work. Hopefully I can get a refund.

I wanted to easily record some video off the internet and play it on my iPhone or iPad. This can do it, and it does it with an audio channel that the app references instead of going through the built in microphone like a lot of them do. It does record in .mov which is kind of large, but it lets you export to m4v and mp4 which are about 4 times smaller and paste right into iTunes. I’m not sure why people gave the gave this such a low rating before, maybe it was for a previous version. This works for my needs. I am not associated with the person/company that wrote this app nor am I being compensated in any way for writing this review. I bought this app with my own funds on my on initiative.

While this recording device is reliable and simple, it lacks the ability to record both computer audio and mic audio at the same time. I would like to know if there is an add-on that makes this possible.
