A great story for all Christmas fans, from author Matt McHugh, now also in iPhone format, as a standalone book app. "Scrooge & Cratchit" is an original short story conceived as a sequel to the classic Dickens tale. The story begins several years after the events of A Christmas Carol. "For me, writing a sequel to A Christmas Carol was a way of reexamining the book, to explore ideas Dickens set forth by imaging what might come next. The original says very little of the storys aftermath, stating in two short paragraphs that Tiny Tim survives and Scrooge becomes renowned for his goodness. I often wondered how that might play out. How does a reformed man deal with the burden of past guilt? How would those who knew Scrooge before and after his transformation relate to him? What aspects of his personality would persist?
