SDS Drop makes sample transfers to your Elektron Analog Rytm drum machine a breeze.
Drag & Drop your files onto the drum pads - the app takes care of the rest. Samples are loaded into the current Rytm project and assigned to your current Kit, ready to play.
Bulk transfer to the project is also supported.
The time for each transfer is shown, and you have the option to hear an acoustic signal when the transfer is done.
You can drop any filetype:
Core-Audio compatible media files are converted to 48kHz 16bit PCM audio, the native format for the Rytm. The high-quality conversion is handled by the Core-Audio framework.
You can even use video files - SDS Drop will extract the audio.
Any other kinds of file are interpreted as 22kHz 8bit PCM audio. If you enjoy some noise, youre going to love this.
You can now also drag & drop URLs from your browser to the app. Literally download the internet into your drum machine.

A note on samples and the +drive:
Samples are transferred to the selected upload directory on the Rytm. After a fresh boot, this is the INCOMING directory. The behaviour is the same as when sending samples with C6.
Make sure you understand how sample transfer works in general before using this app. Refer to the Analog Rytm manual.
IMPORTANT: Before you delete samples from the +drive, please make sure to first unload them from your project. In the Rytms Sample Manager, select VIEW RAM. Then select all samples which you plan to delete, and select UNLOAD.
Otherwise the SDS Drop app will have incorrect information about which sample slots are free.

Get more out of your ELEKTRON ANALOG RYTM drum machine
Must own for any Analog RYTM owner.
This app is a must own for any owner of the Elektron Analog RYTM. Works as advertised. Well worth the asking price.

Such a simple and elegant way to add a MAJOR feature left out by elektron. *App doesnt seem to see Analog Rytm in overbridge mode so dont forget to set your AR to USB/MIDI. Other than that, smooth sailing. Nothing to learn, just a super easy interface that works. Can’t recommend enough.
Удобно, но хочется большего
Цена класс была пару дней! Или акция/скидка была. Не дорого (даже для Российской действительности и курса доллара. Я покупал за 349 руб.) Но сейчас ценник пишет более 749 р. Не знаю… То что на пэды можно перетягивать сразу семплы и грузить в АР, это отлично. Но хотелось бы большего функционала от приложения. Еще заметил не большой баг на версии 1.06. Так и не понял обновилось с прошлой версии или нет. В Эбауте пишет, что версия 1.05 (191). Но к АР коннектится. В АР стоит прошивка 1.30. Заливать пока нет необходимости. Все залито. Как будут новые семплпаки, то опробую, отпишусь. Но в прошлых версиях было определенное неудобство. Через раз заливались чейны. И еще нужно следить, чтобы были свободные слоты для новых семплов в проекте, тк заливает именно в проект (не в +Драйв). Еще нужно следить за свободной памятью в проекте для семплов. Ее на проект 64 мб. Если семплы при заливке превышают объем, то предупреждений конкретных нет. Лишь глюк видно итоговый, что не прошла загрузка. Было бы удобно, если бы писалось сколько осталось места еще свободного. Но не знаю, возможно на программном уровне не получится. Тут может сам АР не позволит такое вмешательство. Надеюсь, приложение будет развиваться. Поэтому 4 звезды с авансом.

Works as advertised. Faster than C6 transfer!
$10 for an application that makes sample import pain free for a $1500 drum machine is certainly worth it. I appreciate the simple drag & drop interface, and the built in conversion of samples to Analog Rytm’s native 16bit/48khz/mono format. Just remember to switch out of Overbridge USB mode and into USB-MIDI ONLY mode on your Rytm (Global/System/USBConfig) before you drag & drop your samples.
fantastic addition to the Rytm
worth every cent. a very simple way to send any format file (try a .png!) onto a pad in the Rytm. it will convert whatever you throw at it into the right format. this is definitely the fastest way to get samples over.
