Description

Secret Delivery encrypts your files and text so only the people you choose can read them. No accounts. No servers. No tracking. Your password never leaves your device — and neither does your data. FREE TO START • Encrypt and decrypt text messages — free, forever. • Share encrypted text as a secretdelivery:// link, or copy and paste the ciphertext anywhere. PRO UNLOCK (one-time purchase) • Encrypt and decrypt files of any type. • Quick Look previews of .sdenc files right inside Files and Finder. • Import from Camera and Photos, and save to iCloud Drive. • Face ID / Touch ID lock and configurable autolock. • Run encrypt and decrypt from Shortcuts, Siri, and Spotlight — or with a long-press in Files. STRONGER ENCRYPTION • New files use AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 key strengthening (600,000 iterations), a random salt and nonce per file, and an authentication tag that detects tampering. • Your existing encrypted files still open — Secret Delivery detects the format automatically. Need to send a file to someone on an older version? Turn on Legacy Mode for the session, or upgrade old files in place. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything happens on-device. We collect nothing, and there is no analytics SDK. • The app blurs its contents in the app switcher and wipes temporary decrypted files when it moves to the background. ***UPDATE*** After playing around a bit more, some of the messages are not decrypting correctly. This App initially worked flawlessly, but after a little more time on it, it is having problems. Im readjusting my review from 5 stars to 3 stars until it is corrected. ***End of Update First, this is a very simple design. Simply enter your message, click "encrypt", create a password for this message (IMPORTANT: every message can have a different PW), choose message delivery means (text, email, tweet, etc), choose whom you would like to deliver to…press send. On the receiving end, when you click on the message, it brings you into the Secret Delivery app and asks for the PW. Then it decrypts the message. Second, I really like the idea that every message needs to have a PW. You can use the same one every time if you want, but more importantly, you can have a different PW for every message. For example, if you are paranoid like myself, you can have the PW include the first letter of the day, date, month, whatever. Third, I wish I knew which encryption algorithm they were using, but Ill take this over sending unencrypted messages any day. Lastly, how is this free? If you miss the free download period and are considering whether to buy this, and you are even moderately concerned that bad people are listening (and they are), then this is the App for you.

You cant export the photos without emailing them. You cant send photos over text, only through email. The two main things that were important to me

This app is fantastic, its exactly what I needed to send documents to my coworkers without fear of them being read by unwanted eyes. The new iOS 8 Extension for previewing pictures and documents that are sent to you is amazing as well, it make it so much quicker to not have to leave the messages app to view an encrypted picture someone texted you.

Thats a very cool idea for protecting messages and files. I personally dont want any of my messages or pictures that I send to be seen by other people. Its even better than a snapchat because without a password its impossible to open the message/file. Love it!
