Description
One of the most challenging aspects of medicine is the vast array of pharmaceuticals each student is expected to know. In addition to the generic name, there is the brand name, therapeutic class, and common indications for each drug on the market. It can be intimidating for both experienced and novice medical personnel.
The Pharm is a user friendly, simple app designed to facilitate quick recall of the top 300 most used drugs in medicine today. Using a simple spinner interface, the user must match a drug’s generic name with its brand name, class, and therapeutic use. If more than three wrong answers are registered, the program will give hints using color coding.
Users can choose to concentrate on one drug class or practice a full review. The app is designed for medical students, pharmacology students, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioners, and nurses.
