Sesame: Assessment Platform at Mac App Store analyse

I have been beta testing this app for a few months now and love it. They have made some great improvements and have taken all of our suggestions into consideration before launching. You can take videos and pics if your students and write notes on what they are doing. It made the last set of report card so much easier. The best thing is the rubric and check list. Unlike many apps out there it is linked to Canadian curriculum so its helpful to us Canadians as well as Americans.

This program and app make my teaching life much easier. It is great for capturing evidence of learning.

I just heard about this app and wish I had known about it in September!! I love that it has Ontario Curriculum Standards already loaded. Makes life so much easier when planning and writing lessons and assessment.

Great product when web based. The iPhone app keeps crashing when trying to capture photos of students.

I love how this app makes creating rubrics and capturing evidence so easy. I especially like how it is linked to my provinces curriculum. However one big thing that is missing is the ability for me to print student rubrics. It is impossible for students to see the grade that they have been assigned unless you link it to their email account. Even then they only have online access.

This app has given new life to my teaching practice! For the first time in 9 years of teaching, I am going out of my way to capture student work, record anecdotal observations, and administer formal assessments. Snap is pleasurable and simple to use, and the accompanying website platform adds power and complexity that make this a valuable tool. There is even a Facebook support group to ask questions and get inspired by other educators. Highly recommend!

Ive used numerous programs such as ClassDojo and Padlet. With its simple Timeline feature, you get the power of both instantly. I downloaded the app during class, made a group, added names and was snapping evidence of work - shareable with parents - in about two minutes. This is valuable to me because my classroom is somewhat hectic. 3/4 of the students are working in math, but a few are creating Arduino kits or robots or working in Geometry. Sesame Snap provides evidence of each individuals work. This helps satisfy NCAA demands - a big deal. Snap, more than any other product, makes my fluid blended learning environment legitimate. It supports grading projects quickly and fairly. For the Timeline feature alone, Snap is invaluable.
