Half naked attempt at best
App wont allow me to sign in, absolutely nothing plays. Press play and it just tries to start play then goes back to the home page. With this type of rubbish available, people will just stick to the pirated options or just using foreign service over VPN. More rands just floating out of SA. Sad actually.
A joke
No content. A complete joke. Looking fwd to seeing Naspers implode over the next few years.
Not great with Apple TV and AirPlay
When using AirPlay to your Apple TV, you have to select mirroring on your iPad or iPhone otherwise only the sound is transmitted but not visuals. Whats the point of having it play on my tv and my iPad or iPhone at the same time?? fail! Secondly, the resolution is terrible. It fills about 75% of my flat screen tv (even when stretched using the app). Dont waste your time getting a premium account until these issues are fixed! Currently using a 2 meg line with a 50 gig VOX phatpipe account and like Netflix, the streaming is ok.
Very poorly designed
When trying to login via Facebook, the app has an invalid uri error.
A good start...
But still a lot to do. To me this app is great in the sense that it finally offers South Africans an alternative to Netflix. And since Netflix subs are dollar-based, it just keeps getting more expensive as the Rand devalues. Content-wise Showmax has a good selection, but I suppose more titles will be added over time. As it stands, there is plenty to watch from vintage sitcoms to the latest TV shows. Maybe not every single thing, but if you want entertainment, Showmax has plenty to offer. Ive found the streaming fairly slick, and the app pretty easy to work with. By far my biggest complaint is the lack of proper Airplay options. Fix that, and this app will gain another star for sure!

it is so bad , every time I want open it ,it closes and go to website :/
