HELP YOUR CHILD LEARN TO READ
See and hear 315 sight word flashcards on your iPad or iPhone. These words are based on the Dolch Word List. Children are expected to learn these "high-frequency" words by sight, without sounding them out by the end of the first grade. Sight words are words in the English language that do not have a simple one-to-one correspondence between sounds and written letters; therefore these words have to be learned “by sight”. Being able to quickly recognize sight words is a crucial part of learning how to read. Sight word mastery is a necessary step towards an enormous reading improvement.
