A little too simple but since I just paid $ I will use it with my son.

Description
The Kindergarten version features 8 levels, A to H, with different sets of words.
"Ask the Bee" button plays the pre-recorded pronunciation of the displayed word in the voice of our school Kindergarten teacher! This is a North American pronunciation.
The application might also be useful to people learning English as a foreign language.
This app is also available for iPhone, iPod & iPad.
Some information about sight words methodology. According to Wikipedia.org:
A sight word is any word that is known by a reader automatically. Sight words are the basis behind the whole-word approach to reading. Sight words and the whole-word approach to reading are a significant teaching technique considering 65% of the population identify themselves as visual learners. Small children are also predominantly visual learners and can therefore learn to read more effectively using sight words and the whole-word approach. Scientific studies have also shown that children with learning difficulties such as Dyslexia, Autism or Down syndrome are also visual learners, and therefore also read words as pictures.

Simple
I can
I cant quit the program. There is no way to esc or close. I had to shut down my computer. Please fix this problem.
Quitting?
Nice program but cant quit when done without force quitting!
Good App but not great:(
Like the previous reviews, there isnt a quite button which is annoying. Overall I think this is a good solid app for my 5 year old, but it would be nice to have additional levels. Hope you add on to this.
Quitting Program
In order to quit the program, just scroll your mouse towards the top left. You will see the app name appear, and you can quit from there. My daughter is two, so this is a little advanced for her. She is slowly getting into it though. We like it!! I would recommend!
Basic, but OK
Its a very simple, easy to use App that any kid can use with ease. The description basically tells you what the app is. Basically just someone pronouncing the words when you click on the bee. I dont see how its any better than just using flash cards with my kid. I was hoping their would be some interaction, or matching words to pictures, or something, anything other than just listening to some person say the words. Oh, and I had no problem quitting the program. Just move the mouse to the upper left until the menu appears
not bad
works great if you can move between the words to test your kid and go back to the words that trip them up. for playing alone, it speaks the words and can randomize them. i think its well done app, simple but good.
