Description

If you work in a dark room or struggle with eye strain and headache, Simple Screen Shade will dim your displays - this way, it will care for your health and comfort. The black shade mitigates bright and vivid colors, while the white one reveals details in dark pictures. The green shade will relax your eyes when you read and write a lot. Using the predefined shade samples will speed up the selection of the appropriate shade color. The app doesnt change the monitor settings. Instead, it places translucent layers and dims your desktop and running applications. Thus it will dim the monitors even more than the hardware limit. Features: Dim all monitors with a common all-screens shade. Additional per-screen shade for up to four monitors. Shade includes level and color. Change the shade level without leaving the active application - via hotkeys or from a menu in the menu bar extras. Full-screen support. Eye care: the shade will fade in and out in half a second. Customizable hotkeys to handle the app. Able to start automatically at user login. Support multiple users, screens, and desktops. Built on Apples security paradigm sandboxing - reducing the threat of rogue code and malicious software. Notes: The shade level is limited up to 90%. We respect your privacy. Our apps do not collect or submit any data. When the app is running, no icon is shown in the Dock. The basic control is through a menu in the menu bar extras. 単純に画面を暗くするだけではなく、 やや深緑っぽくしたり、やや焦げ茶っぽくしたりなど、 画面に着色できるので、より目に優しい状態に出来ます。 ホットキーも設定できるなど理想的なソフトでした。

Best dimmer, and incredible support

I went though a few alternatives before finally finding this one, and I can tell anyone looking to stop wasting time and click "Purchase" now. I even tried GeekTool to put differnet tranluscent overlays on the screen out of despratation, and wish I would have discovered this app soonner. This is hands down the easiest to use screen dimmer of them all, and the most robust. The ability to have differnet shades on different monitors is huge, and the app handles resolution changes perfectly. And when I had a question, the developer was very responsive. If you own an Apple display, I honestly cannot understand how youre not using this app and still have your retinas unburned by the nuclear fire their ultra-bright monitors use for backlighting.

Individual Multi Monitor Support!

This is the app we have all been looking to use with our multi monitor setups! I have 7-8 montitors and i’m hoping this app can support more monitors in the future (supports 4).

This app is great. It’s easy to use and I like the in-menu design with hotkey support. Only thing I would add is a feature to save slots for multiple custom shade/color so I can flip through my own list instead of just the default sample shades.

I was looking for something to control my three cinema displays. This application is perfect, as it allows for indivual screen control (especially the screen from driven from the HDMI port). The only thing I would like is hotkeys for presets, but that is me just being nit-picky. Simple and effective.

Even though I only paid $1 for this app, the customer support goes above and beyond to help me with this product. Plus this is the only shader I’ve found that can support different tones across multiple monitors, which is great because one of my monitors is very bright.

For anyone looking for a specific app to dim monitors, this is really the one to buy. I purchaed two different apps before this one(don’t think this was on app store back then). Neither one worked for my dual monitor setup and they did not have the customization you have with this app, I will be recommending this app to everyone I know!
