Description
Two SJW publications are now immediately available for iPad in the four Swiss national languages, German, French, Italian and Romansh, as well as in English. The SJW, Swiss Publisher of Texts for the Young, is a non-profit organisation which has been publishing literary as well as non-fictional specialist texts for children and youths for over 80 years.
The publications are designed and illustrated by well-known Swiss illustrators, and successful authors such as Lorenz Pauli, Franz Hohler, Pirmin Meier or Ilma Rakusa write texts for SJW. In addition, world classics such as James Joyce’s The Cat and the Devil or Franz Kafka’s A Crossbreed. www.sjw.ch.
The SJW Reader contains at present two SJW publications:
Franz Kafka: A Crossbreed (in German, French, Italian and Sursilvan-Romansh), illustrated by Anna Sommer, with computer animation/animated graphics and the option of simultaneous reading in four languages.
Jens Nielsen: Grass East Never mind (German and English), illustrated by Andreas Gefe. Three short stories by the well-known Swiss author, dramatist and spoken-word performer, with the option of simultaneous reading in German and English.
