Smart Recorder is a full featured audio recorder. It is ideal for recording classes, meetings, memos, lectures, to do lists and even your kids.
This is a full functioning previewer for Smart Recorder sessions. It also allows you to create sessions of up to three minutes.
Smart Recorder allows the typing of textual notes as time based tags while recording. During playback, you can change the speed to quickly skim through less interesting pieces of a meeting. You can use iCloud to share recordings between the iOS and Mac Smart Recorders.
•Time based tags allow you to quickly jump back to important portions of a recording.
•Auto pause suspends recording when there is no sound. Recording starts again when talking resumes—perfect for conference room meetings.
•Multi speed playback allows you to skim uninteresting conversations quickly.
•A forward arrow skips 30 seconds of the recording.
•A back button allows you to repeat the last 30 seconds of the recording.
•You can append to existing recordings.
•A slider allows you to quickly navigate to any part of a long recording.
•Smart Recorder provides an export function that creates an HTML file with your tags and an audio file of a format of your choosing. (Use the preference window to change the format).

Doesnt open saved files from Finder
The quality of the recordered voice is excellent. But, when I try to open a file that I have saved with Smart Recorder directly from the Finder by "Double-clic" as usual, the application quit immediately. I have to open the app first, and from the file menu select "open…", then it works fine. I could not save the voice file in different format other then "smrt". Lots of Bugs need to be fixed. Français: Qualité excellente du son (voix). Plante à louverture dun fichier sauvegardé du Finder directement. Il faut passer par le menu Fichier "Ouvrir…" de lApplication. Les accents dans les fenêtres et les menus sont absents. Impossible denregistrer sous dautre format que "smrt. Dommage !!

Smart Recorder Lite - Great simple tool to record and type notes
Im trying this little app today on my iMac. It appears to be a smart essential tool that can become handy to record my voice, either to keep notes, or to record from a conversation, like instructions when Im on the phone on speaker, to remember later. The smartest think is that you can add a tag and type notes anywhere during or after the recording to either identify the recording, or type what you recorded. Smart, free, try it! Someday you may just already have the little app that you needed.
