This is the official app for The Smog Shop. "The Smog Shop" A family owned and operated business since 1988!! Mike Schoen opened his doors for the first time in the Kern River Valley back in 1988 at "Dam Korner #4" in Mt. Mesa. While there, he and his father Glenn Howell built a reputation for quality automotive repair and outstanding customer care. After 11 years, he moved to Lake Isabella and renamed it "Mikes Automotive". He then accepted a promising position at Mesa Marin Raceway as Director of Youth Motorsports. After a major car accident in the Kern River Canyon, Mike re-opened his doors in Wofford Heights January 2008, with Justin Lyon and Truman Cleveland, where he continued his high quality repairs and excellent customer service. After Mikes passing in July, his wife, Robin Schoen resumed the business re-naming it "Schoens Repair & Smog", continuing his quality service to customers for the past 5 years. During 2013, Robins health declined and her daughter Maggie and husband Justin Lyon have taken over the business. Mikes philosophy was to always provide his customers with honest advice and reputable service. He believed that every one of his customers deserve a full and honest explanation, and not be charged for un-necessary services. All of his his honesty, integrity and values were instilled into this family owned and operated business and continue today with "The Smog Shop"! Justin and Maggie Lyon have made many customer appreciated upgrades and have the most up to date diagnostic equipment! They have relocated to a larger facility to increase the ability of quality customer satisfaction and productivity, in turn leaving shorter wait times for our customers! Truman Cleveland is one of our technicians. He is a valued and appreciated fixture at this shop and continues to serve you today! We invite you to come and enjoy our comfortable waiting room.
