Snip2Code at Mac App Store analyse

Man braucht einen Account, um Code-Snippets in der Cloud abzulegen. Zur Identifikation wird eine E-Mail-Adresse benötigt. An diese Adresse bekommt man dann jeden Tag eine E-Mail gesandt. Diese E-Mail hat einen „Unsubscripe“-Link. Der führt zu einem Formular, in dem man verschiedene Möglichkeiten auswählen kann. Z.B. „Ich möchte nur alle 7 Tage eine E-Mail erhalten.“ Das habe ich ausgewählt und am nächsten Tag die nächste E-Mail erhalten und am übernächsten Tag wieder eine. Es sind so genannte „Snippet of the day“-Mails, die aber nicht redaktionell betreut zu sein scheinen. Ich habe das Programm deinstalliert, weil Gisto wesentlich bessere Inhalte liefert. Ich habe jetzt auch auf „Keine Mails mehr!“ umgestellt und bin gespannt, ob das funktioniert. Der E-Mail-Versand scheint über einen Fremdanbieter implementiert zu sein. Ich denke, das Programm hat durchaus Potenzial. Mal schauen, wie es sich entwickelt.

The tool is great and it is very useful to support developers in storing and retrieving code snippets. Moreover, it is possible to share and retrieve snippets provided by other people. The database of snippets available is somehow limited at present but it seems it is growing fast. The possibility of creating snippets directly for the IDE is a plus that make the tool easier to integrate in the development activities.

This new version brings some new cool features which are saving me a lot of time. Paste manager is awesome!

Uso snip2code con il plugin in eclipse ma spesso trovo utilissima questa app.

Great utility for storing and searching snippets on Snip2Code. I like that the app is always there accessible on the menu bar. I use Sublime and storing my snippets using this utility is super easy.
