The 144 majong tiles are arranged in a 3-dimentional four-layer pattern. A tile can be played if it can be moved either left or right without touching other tiles. The object in maggong is to match open pairs of matching tiles and remove them while exposing the tiles under them for further play.
The round in madjong is finished when all of the pairs of mahjong tiles have been removed. You can use the Shuffle button to shuffle the tiles up to 5 times.
Mahjong layouts in every round are different and within every layout the setup of individual mahjong tiles is random.
Solitaire Mahjong is also known as Shanghai solitaire, Mahjong solitaire and a single-player mahjong.
As mahjong has a Chinese origin, there are naturally quite a number of different names and spellings for a game of mahjong: maggong, majong, magong, maggong, ma jong, mah jong, maddong, madgong, mahgong, madjong, mjong, mah-jong, m jong and mah jongg and even mjong.
Although the word solitaire is not Chinese, in combination with majong, it can be used with different names and spellings such as: mahjong solitare, soliter, solitere, patience, soli, solo, mahjong solo or even mahjong solotaire!
Mahjong solitaire rules are described in the Help section of the game. Mahjong solitare offers visual hints if the tiles are not matched within 15 seconds. This mahjong app also offers to shuffle the tiles when there are no exposed pairs remaining.
