Description
Application is for use with the Sonic Decanter appliance, a device developed by Dionysus Technologies to improve the flavor of wines using ultrasonic sound. The Sonic Decanter is available separately from Dionysus at http://sonicdecanter.com/. Application connects to the Sonic Decanter over bluetooth low energy (BLE) with pairing password 0000.
The appliance exposes two preset processing times, 15:00 for white wines and 20:00 for red. These timings have been determined to be optimal for generic red and white wines but some varietals may benefit from shorter or longer processing. The application enables
(1) variable timing
(2) pause and resume
(3) cancellation of processing
(4) text search for the wine returning information that can assist in refining the processing time.
Future versions will extend into a social networking based community of users and recommendations of wines and processing times as well as barcode scanning instead of text entry.
Without a Sonic Decanter device the application can peruse online databases with many thousands of wines of a wide array of varietals but of course can only be used to process wine using the appliance.
