Forget it!
I have purchased it expecting it to be as good as it is on windows, but it is a dreadful shame that they couldn’t make it as brilliant as its windows version. It bugs all the time, you have to restart it and sometimes, install it all over again. I have tried the Pro version sold at Sony website and to my disappointment and money waste, it works awful as well, I must inform that my mac computer is updated and has a powerful processor, memory and hard disk. So, no excuses to work so poorly… I really hope one day Sony do a decent version for mac, just the way the do for windows….

Doesn’t work at all with OS X Captain 10.11.2…. purchased but never starts … I lost 99 euros.. We are waiting for an update.!!!!!!!!

Ayant travaillé depuis dix ans sur la version Windows, je me suis dit que la version OS X serait une valeur sûre… GROSSE ERREUR ! Cette version est BOURÉE de BUGS !!! NE PAS ACHETER CE LOGICIEL SUR MAC ! Jattends comme beaucoup d’autres une MISE À JOUR TOTALE ! À ce prix, autant de bugs c’est inacceptable !

Gutes Audioprogramm mit Unterstützung für VST und AU-Plig-ins
iZotope RX 3 und Ozons 5 funktionieren gut. Der export als m4a ist grundlegend gut. Hier sollte aber die Frequenz von 48 kHz freigegeben werden. 44,1 kHz verschenken zu viel an Qualität. Apple Lossless und ander Formate sind eingebaut und individuell nutzbar. Das Waveformat für die Sicherung ist auf 2 GB begrenzt - hier fehlt die RIFF unterstützung für größere Daten. 4 GB Files werde allerdings sauber eingelesen. Durch die Verwendung des Wave64 Formats können problemlos möglich umfangrteiche Daten geladen, bearbeitet und zu gespeichert werden. Die Oberfläche kann an die eigenen Bedürfnisse angepasst werden. Bitte bei der Implemention der AU und VST Filter sicherstellen, das die mitgelieferten Einstellungen immer geladen werden. Es ist mühseelig immer erst alle Voreinstellungen zu öffnen um dann die Plug-Ins laufen zu lassen. Selbst wenn nur ein neues File bearbeitet wird muss die Sysyphus Arbeit wiederholt werden. Für ein Programm dieser Preisklasse ist es ungewöhnlich, das Audiofiles mit 192 kHz bearbeitet und bei geeignerter Hardware auch aufgenommen werden können. Wavelab 8 in der kleinen Version macht beispielsweise bei 96 kHz einen Schnitt während die grosse Version mit 384 kHz punkten kann, falls man die notwendige Hardware besitzt. Für den Export von iTunes kompatiblen Audiofiles kann ich nur Triumph empfehlen, welches die beste Qualität bei der Umsetzung hat. Alle notwendigen Parameter inklusive 48 kHz sind wählbar. Der Exportfilter von Wavelab zeigt hier Schwächen bei Tonfrequenzen oberhalb 19 kHz.
Sony must work harder
i’m disapointed about the performance of this Soundforge for mac. The software ergonomics is ok… i worked a lot with Soundforge on PCsince a while in the past. No evolution here. The graphic performances are bad. The software take about 7 seconds to open… This on a top notch iMac 5k, Seriously, in this price range, Soundforge performance is a joke. Sony thats a cheap shot… please work harder when people have to pay more than better soft...
