Find capacities for smooth bore nozzles ranging in size from 3/4" to 2". • All calculations are made using the friction loss formula as shown on the friction loss formula page and coefficients as shown in the reference section. • An estimate of 10 psi is used for heavy appliances. • Back pressure is calculated using .434 psi per foot of elevation. • Capacities are calculated using 7.48 gallons per cubic foot. • Use this app as a study guide or as an aid in pre-planning.
