Great magazine, with more accessibility within the app for different mediums. Well worth the price of admission!
Best violin aficionados magazin
I love The Strad magazine. Just the best for violin lovers
Super.
Gosto muito,
Doesnt work
App crashed a few times when I first tried to open it. Then I tried to download the July 2012 issue but got the Dec 2012 issue instead. When I tried to read it, the app crashed again. Ive never experienced this with another app.
Crashes before it even starts.
Wont stay open long enough to even download an issue.
Huge improvements all around!
I hoped to among the first to write a review of the newest version of this app, since I had had such awful things to say about the last version. I have downloaded on both iPhone and iPad and have only used for a few hours but...wow! They have altered nearly everything about the app: its look, the way it presents pages and images, the animated drop-down of the contents, the various display options--all new, state-of-the-art and attractive, as well as functional. More important, the app SEEMS much more stable. It loads faster; downloads of issues and related audio and video materials are faster; and when it does crash (which it has done just once thus far), it pops right back up without the endless "updating info" message. Remaining details: the app seems only to open in portrait mode on the iPad; its hard to figure out how to get video materials after having first downloaded an entire issue; and thats all I can think of just now! Sincere congratulations to the developer team for having turned a dog into a star in the making! ------- Addendum: Twenty days into using the new app, its possible to say the stability has really been improved. Downloading is faster & easier. The inclusion of audio and video clips, so you can hear & see the subject under discussion, is brilliant!
Informative
...and well thought out. Lots of interesting and up-to-date information about the strings world. I would give it five stars if it were a little bit more budget-friendly.
