Description
Find what Subway, Metro or Tube Stations are near your location!
Now using MapKit from iPhone OS 3.0 with faster maps and no more limit on maps downloads.
You can see the distance in kilometers from your location to the selected station and the lines name.
If you are using an iPod Touch the coverage is limited to the database used by Apple based on WiFi access points.
Subway Seeker is designed to include stations from many countries.
At this moment the included cities are:
- New York
- Washington D.C.
- San Francisco
- London
- Mexico City(Metro, Tren Ligero, Metrobus, Tren Suburbano)
- Guadalajara (Update within app)
- Monterrey (Update within app)
- Paris (Update within app)
- Madrid (Update within app)
But new stations will be available for many other cities.
This application is also an alternative to know your location with less battery drain. Metro Seeker lets you set the frequency of the GPS updates so you can save battery while keeping the map opened.
In the future we will start including Bus Stations and other means of public transportation from all over the world.
