I have this app on my iphone and I didnt need to sign up in order to use it, so when i try to use this version for the Mac it says I need an account and when i try to make one it tells me my password is incorrect… I never had an account and I cant sign up for one because my password is incorrect from an I account I never even had. Needs a re-think!

shawsome.brian · 10 years ago

This review started off with 5 stars, as Sunrise has replaced my calendar on iphone and ipad both. This ‘Mac’ implementation is the web app wrapped in a launcher shell. The worst part is, the web app loads your events much faster than this does. Build it right, like you did for iOS. BUILD IT NATIVE.

New update is pretty terrible

carinishead · 10 years ago

Used to love sunrise, but the newest update has the app freezing on EVERY action for anywhere from 5-30 seconds

Almost There

VicLabs · 10 years ago

This app has been steadily improving and currently it’s the only calendar app I use across all my devices (5s, iPad mini, iMac). It is consistent, up to date and bug free from my experience in the last month (mid-July to mid-August 2015). It does lack some functionality that is annoying. Not dealbreakers, just annoying. Here are two easy improvements that could put Sunrise over the top: 1) Allow to copy and paste events. Simple in iCal, impossible here. 2) Allow custom alerts. Without the custom alerts option, it is impossible to automate an email to send later. This is a great, if little known, OSX tool that is completely lost by using Sunrise’s limited alerts menu.

Syncing issues

TJ Yang · 10 years ago

Pretty good, but there’s a syncing issue where it doesn’t sync and it doesn’t let the user know there’s a problem. If you make any changes to Sunrise during that time, the changes don’t get saved.

Logs Me Out Constantly

I’m constantly having to re-add my Gmail account because when I re-launch the app it shows up as blank. At this point i’m done using this app.

Disappointed

Tchortie · 10 years ago

I love to use this app on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, but the new update makes it horrible on the Mac! Taking away icould calendar support is not helpful and i’ve taken my calendar off on my iphone and put it back and still not showing up on my mac. Come on Sunrise, your better than this, I hope that since joining microsoft you don’t go the opposite way with one of the best calendar apps for mobile!!!
