The 5 and 3 yr olds both love it... So theyre also learning to take turns!

Incredibly boring, very limited educational value

SilverSpringMom · 14 years ago

I cant imagine this game holding either of my preschoolers interest for more than one or two turns. All you do is choose a character and then collect letters and balloons as the character flies up in the air for 30 seconds or so. It doesnt matter if you miss any letters because they keep reappearing, and it doesnt count how many balloons you gather. (So basically you figure out pretty quickly that no matter what you do or dont do in the game, the same thing will happen. Boring.) In the end, the letters spell a word, but they arent even words that are worth learning (like sight words) or even words that teach phonetics. Top example: karaoke. Why would a preschooler want to have that word as their big discovery? Thumbs down. Graphically very attractive-- it does look like you are moving characters from the show-- but the content is just dull.

Boring

My son loves the original Super Why! Game, but this one not so much. There is not a whole lot to do, it gets boring pretty quickly, and because he doesnt have to do anything to get the correct letters I dont feel it is very educational either. It is pretty though.

Disappointed!

I thought this would be an educational app with word building activities. It is... but is not engaging at all. It is very monotonous. I bought it before there were any reviews. You have a review now... Do not buy. Not worth it. The free app...Spelling with Cimo is much better.

Cute game for kids who are learning letters

Its simple enough that very young kids can figure it out. They dont have to know the alphabet to play and they can learn letter names. Audio is good quality.

Happy Uncle

Was babysitting my 3 year old niece and ended up getting this. It took her a while to hold my phone right but we had a lot of fun screaming out letters and guessing things. Too bad she couldn’t keep my phone.
