Supermarket Companion at Mac App Store analyse

Have you ever used a grocery app faster than pen & paper? No? Now you can! It took us some time to develop the companion and the idea is just as simple as beautiful. We had lots of different solutions to the grocery list problem and realized that if we cant do it more efficient than using pen & paper, then we should not do it. Finally we solved the puzzle! No one wants to sit hours & hours with administrative tasks. A grocery app must be fast & efficient! Supermarket Companion contains 2 types of items, barcoded items & custom items, that is items without barcodes. The companion generates quick response (QR) codes for custom items. These codes can then easily be scanned in the same way as barcodes. Simply print out the list of custom items & stick it on your fridge. When you need a vegetable or fruit, simply scan the code for that item. Of course you can also add items manually. All items are saved to a database. We kept the number of attributes per item to a minimum. Image of item, name of item and note of item. The note is saved only within the context of the list. The note field can e.g. contain the amount, weight or other notifications you prefer. At home simply scan the barcode on the (empty) package to add it to your grocery list. At the supermarket scan the package to check your item of the list. The companion contains only one list. We dont believe in creating several lists since, firstly it takes time to administer and secondly, erasing the old one and adding items to the list takes almost no time. Moreover the list is intended to always reflect your "out of stock" items. We have added over 60 custom items to start with. It contains the most popular vegetables, fruits & mushrooms. The companion supports the most popular symbologies used by the retail industry. EAN-13/UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5 and QR Code.
