Description
Check Uber fare surges around you on a map and (optionally) receive periodic notifications whenever surge pricing takes effect. Check specific pickup locations for surge pricing by tapping and holding on the map, or check for surge pricing within four directions of you all at once on the visible map. Threshold for notifications may be set, for the driver who will only drive if the surge is >= 2x. Ideal for Uber drivers looking to earn more than a regular drives fare.
Permissions requested:
- Location services: put yourself on the map to hit the ground running
- Background location services(options): receive real-time updates for your current location whenever surge pricing takes effect near you
- Push notifications (optional): receive real-time updates regarding surge pricing around your area and at custom checkpoints
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
