Description
Swipy Maths is an engaging educational game that challenges the student to resolve as many mathematical operations as possible within a given time. Swipy Maths is specially oriented for kids between 6 and 12 years-old, although it can also be engaging for adults who are looking for a brain trainer app.
Unlike many other apps that offer simple operations organized as a multiple choice question type, Swipy Math offers real mathematical operations to be resolved as they would be done on paper.
MATHEMATICAL OPERATIONS
The app offers a wide variety of operations starting from the easiest ones (two numbers with single digits) and going up to the hardest ones (two or more numbers with multiple digits and/or decimals). The difficulty increases as the student plays and resolves correctly the operations, which are:
– Addition
– Subtraction
– Multiplication
– Division
DIFFICULTY LEVELS
You can easily set the difficulty level of the operations according to the age and knowledge of the student. These levels have been properly adjusted based on the curriculum standards of the American education system. The difficulty levels are:
– 1 Level – 1st and 2nd grade; i.e. 6-8 years old
– 2 Level – 3rd and 4th grade; i.e. 8-10 years old
– 3 Level – 5th and 6th grade; i.e. 10-12 years old
TIMER
As the operations must be solved within a given time, the timer can be adjusted to perfectly fit with the kids needs. With a limited time given to solve the operations, kids will be challenged to focus and give the right answer before they run out of time. There are three different ranges of times as follow:
– Turtle timer (easier)
– Pedestrian timer (middle)
– Hare timer (harder)
