Description
= Inspired by Pomodoro =
Tadam helps you stay focused at work by reminding you to take regular breaks from work.
Here’s the simple idea:
1. Work for 25 minutes
2. Take a 5-minute break
3. Repeat
4. Every four cycles, take a longer break
= Tadam is =
Simple: Few buttons, few features, few options. Only what you need for productivity and nothing more.
At your fingertips: Tadam lives in the menu bar, so it’s always just a click away.
Out of the way: A quick glance gives you a sense of how much time you have left.
= A gentle reminder =
When work time is almost up, you’ll get a gentle reminder to hurry up.
Wrap up your work for the cycle and prepare for a break. (Or click the notification to give yourself more time.)
= Break away =
Your brain is like a muscle — it gets tired with use. To stay focused, take regular breaks and let your mind recharge.
Tadam helps you do that.
When it’s time for a break, a big window pops up, reminding you to take a break. You can’t ignore it — you can either take a break or choose to work a little more.
The window covers most of your screen, and if you move it, it will snap back after 30 seconds. It’s *designed* to be annoying enough that you’ll take the break like you know you should.
Step away from your Mac. Have a walk, a glass of water. Breathe. Give your brain some rest.
= For the pros and for the rest of us =
Tadam is for everyone. And if you’re a geek, it’s for you, too.
You can set a hotkey to invoke Tadam from anywhere.
You can control it entirely from your keyboard.
You can set custom work and break durations any time you want.
You can shrink the break window if you want to spend it at your computer.
You can even control it with URL schemes.

Gutes Potenzial
Die App fügt sich toll ins System ein und erledigt dabei genau was sie soll… Mehr braucht es nicht
Sound is too loud.
Unusable. Sound Is way too loud. Will improve rating if this gets fixed
Effective "Pomodoro" timer – "simply" the best!
Tadam is as beautiful as it is simple to use. Works great with the Pomodoro Technique – 25 mins. of work, 5 mins. required break (although times are adjustable and up to you). If "look and feel" are an important part of your daily work experience, this timer app is for you. Great support provided if you have questions or suggestions. Excellent font choice and unobtrusive appearance makes this app worth its price.
Does what it says
Perfect in it’s simplicity. Gives you a countdown timer and an option for a break at the end. Timer is set by minutes only, no option for seconds. But I like this since I was only looking for a dead simple timer to use for the Pomodoro Method.
new version requires 10.10
Yeah, you’ve got to be kidding me. The new version REQUIRES 10.10? Completely stupid. Also, it would be nice if there was a preferences screen to set this up the way you’d like it. Customize the default timer and break time. And also make it go with one press of a button. Maybe options of global hotkeys.
Im sorely disappointed
I paid for this app because out of all of the ones on the app store it seemed like the best choice, but now Im extremely disappointed. the big black window designed to tell you its break time cannot be resized, and if you move it it pops back "after a few seconds". this is meant to be a feature, but it interferes with my break activity. this is extremely frustrating. without the ability to at LEAST resize the window, this app is useless to me, and I wish I could demand my money back. to make matters worse, I tried to contact support, or at least email the developer, but the developers webpage is a single page with only three links, and "Support" opens a new email window With No To Address. I cant even contact the developer. SO, Im posting here. this sucks.
