Talaria allows you to exchange text messages with your friends for FREE. Most U.S. mobile numbers are supported (Verizon, AT&T, etc.). All you need is a Gmail account. Use an existing account or create a new one - it’s up to you!
** Recipient Does NOT Need App **
The person you send messages to does not need the app because messages are delivered as real text messages (SMS/MMS).
** Private **
We dont store a single message. Your messages are kept in Gmail unless you choose to delete them.
** What’s the Catch? **
No catch! Its really free and you can send text messages to most U.S. mobile phones. There are some ads to support development... You know, so we can pay rent and eat. :-)

The beauty of Talaria is that it takes care of the technical details for you. But if you must know... Most cellular carriers (Verizon, AT&T, etc.) have special email addresses that can be used to send real text messages (SMS/MMS) to mobile subscribers.
