This application does not represent any political party or a particular group of society. This application is developed to credit Dr.Kalaignar for his marvelous & unquestionable talent on the Tamil literature. As we all know Thirukkural is the masterpiece of our Tamil literature with the highest and purest expressions of human thought. It is written in the form of couplets(two line poems) expounding various aspects of life. It contains 1330 couplets, divided into 133 chapters of 10 couplets each. This literature was written by the famous poet Thiruvalluvar 2000 years ago. In modern history many authors from around the world have written meanings & translations for this book, in more than 80 world languages Thirukkural has been translated & the same is available through internet for free.(Ulaga Pothumarai) This iPhone/book application is specially dedicated for Tamil language & Tamil descents. With blessings from the great Tamil poet & Tamil loyalist Dr.Kalaignar Karunanidhi, his views about each kural is used as meaning here. It is nice to see this app. However, in the explanation (in several kural) there are spelling errors distorting the meaning. For ex, in kural 1, the explanation should read "AKARAM ezuthukkallukku muthalmai ...." instead of "AKARA ...". Eagerly looking forward to a corrected version. Keep up the good work!
