Service Update Unfortunately, we aren’t able to extend the beta trial of TELUS Extend due to a recent CRTC ruling that asks us to ensure it has 911 availability. This is not technically possible in the short timeframe given by the CRTC, so as a result we will be shutting down the service by Dec. 30, 2016. We strongly advise that you save a copy of your messages before that time. As an alternative to Extend, other 3rd party Wi-Fi calling services are available – however, it should be noted that these services do not have 911 availability, either. Thank you for your support of TELUS Extend through its beta trial. We’re grateful for the helpful feedback we have received from users.
