Description

Tempest! Art of Nature brings you shockingly beautiful lightning video from around the world. Tempest! is great for those who don’t want a CPU hungry screensaver running all the time but instead appreciate a gentle artistic reminder from time to time that the machine is still awake. Tempest! runs cool because your CPU rests between lightning strikes. For best results use a large screen in a dark room. Thunder and rain have been added by popular request. Some people find Tempest! an aid to a meditative state of mind. "A gem of the Mac App Store" ~ applesfera.com A separate screensaver launcher can be downloaded from the "View" menu in the app. ------------- If you have old Quicktime components on your computer, they can interfere with video playback of this and all other video apps on the Mac App Store, there is a free app on the store called SandboxCleaner that can check your system for this.

The lightning is fascinating and looks great on a big screen. The thunder is intense. Its as close to a real thunderstorm as you are going to get indoors. Often I run it with just the rain sounds since they are so relaxing.

Extraordinary! Great effects on a big screen. Incredibly soothing thunderstorm. Refreshing.

Tempest puts me in the zone!

I have enjoyed tempest and it relaxes me and gets my head clear, much like a real thunderstorm does. I have a 42" LCD screen in 1080p and a very good set of speakers with great bass response, and it looks and sounds so real with everything setup right, that in a real thunderstorm I get this great experience. I recommend trying it with the blinds closed in the room and using a big TV, which gives the effect of watching the storm out of a large window, and good stereo speakers will really make this feel every bit of one amazing thunderstorm! Well worth setting up the equipment for!!

Just turn out the lights, turn up the volume and be prepared for a very cool show... :o)
