Textastic 7.0 adds full support for macOS Tahoe 26 and the Liquid Glass design, with a refreshed user interface and an updated app icon. Fixed: - Updated the HTML5 template and removed outdated HTML 4.01 and XHTML templates. The src attribute can be added manually or using the "script:src" Emmet abbreviation. - Disabled auto-pairing of single quotes in LaTeX and TeX math environments. - Other minor improvements.

Super éditeur de texte !!!!! Il n’y a pas quAtom, Sublime Text, Brackets et autres… Il y a Textastic :-) Merci au développeur !!!

Benutze Textastic schon Jahre auf iPad und iPhone und nun auch auf dem neuen iMac. Einfache Texteingabe. Seine Stärke sind das Highlight von Programmiersprachen. Vorteilhaft ist der Austausch über die iCloud, sodass alle Dateien auf allen Geräten verfügbar sind und jeweils auf dem neuesten Stand.

Schnell und leistungsfähig, aber mit kleinen Fehlern

Generell finde ich Textastic wirklich nett und würde eigentlich gerne damit auch auf dem Mac arbeiten. Leider ist es aber nicht möglich, anwendungsspezifisch festzulegen, dass die letzten offenen Dokumente beim Start wieder geöffnet werden sollen. Da richtet sich Textastic nur nach den Systemeinstellungen und dort habe ich es deaktiviert, weil es bei vielen Programmen unerwünscht ist. Schön wäre es, wenn man dieses Verhalten in Textastic selbst aktivieren könnte, wie es auch in anderen Editoren oder bspw. von Apple selbst bei Safari geht. Auch merkt sich Textastic die Ansicht nicht und blendet die Seitenleiste immer wieder aus. (S)FTP aus der iOS-Version fehlt leider auch noch. … und ganz ehrlich: Ein deutscher Entwickler könnte doch nun wirklich auch eine deutsche Lokalisierung anbieten. Das ist doch nicht wirklich zuviel verlangt.

Can’t handle large files, don’t expect a refund

Program purports to be fast. Try opening a 100mb file, and then entering a few characters in the middle of it. Glacial, beach ball sadness. Now try that in Sublime, or UltraEdit. No problem. Refund request said “not eligible”, YMMV. iOS app has been great, but this isn’t desktop grade.

Verilogを編集できるエディタはemacs, vimの他はあまりなく，GUIなAppを求めていた自分にはお手頃でした． 機能としてはHTML系で，Verilog，VHDLはカラーリングのみ対応しているが，十分である． カスタマイズができるようなので，試してみたい． 試用版が本家サイトにありますね． I ‘m looking for editor for verilog, and find this app. very good. however, please add more powerful function for verirog. ex.:comment out shortcut.

Better than TextEdit but author is not predictable

I was going to use this as quick nice text editor but author is trying to make something else out of it. There is big chance that next version is going to be paid upgrade very soon, and current abandoned just like IOS versions for iPad and iPhone. Not worth paying for when there is free option like TextWrangler, better to invest in to already robust good editors like Sublime Text, Coda or BBEdit. I don’t trust developer anymore.
