Description
The first tile in your path is the START tile. Now you must choose a tile adjacent (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) to START. This starts a chain of tiles in the path. This chain is formed by following the arrows on each tile that point to the next tile in the chain. The computer animates this tile chain by coloring the tiles in the chain black until a tile that terminates the chain is encountered. This could be a tile with STOP instead of an arrow or a tile that has an arrow to another tile already in the total path. Every tile in the chain formed is colored black except the termiination tile of the chain which is colored red. The score added by the chain is the sum of the black tiles in the chain. The termination tile does not add to the score. Once the chain is terminated (the animation of coloring the chain tiles black and termination tile red) and the score updated, you the player must now choose a legal tile next to the termination tile of the previous chain. These legal tile choices pulsate and have a blue border. That starts another chain which gets animated by the computer. The game ends when your total path includes the FINISH tile. Its score of 36 gets added to the total. The Total path is given by the sequence of tiles shown with vertical lines delimiting each of the tile chains. You are responsible only for choosing the legal tile that starts the next tile chain. The "Computer Solution" button gets the computer to try to find the optimum solution (total path and score) for the puzzle. As that score and path evolve in the computer solution, the best score and path to date are updated in real-time. You can name and save one of the 20 games so that later you can retrieve it without having to go through the entire sequence of loaded games again.
