Description
Trademark Legal Coach is for business owners to view the basics of federal trademark registration.
View a guide to the U.S. trademark system, full statute (Title 15 of the U.S. Code), and Code of Federal Regulations (Title 37). Access to online videos and daily updates are included (Internet connection required).
The guide is broken down into categories for search/classification, application, drawing, specimens, renewal, fees, infringement, and more.
The C.F.R. are detailed rules for the trademark statutes. For example, 15 USC 1051 states that the applicant shall submit the number of specimens as required by the Director. 37 CFR 2.56 defines what is a specimen (i.e. label, tag, or container for the goods, or a display associated with the goods) and size constraints.
Flip between three tabs to read provisions from each without scrolling back.
The developer, Michael E. Byczek, is licensed to practice law in Illinois and an Apple certified system administrator.
The U.S.C. is current as of January 4, 2011 based upon The Office of the Law Revision Counsel (LRC) classification tables; C.F.R. as of January 11, 2011 (e-CFR); and fees as of January 13, 2011.
