Treasure Tragedy is a multiplayer game that teaches about the concept of the tragedy of the commons. Players are part of a pirate council where gold is shared with everyone. In Treasure Tragedy, everyone can have some gold as long as they leave some for others.
While playing Treasure Tragedy, players learn about cheating, and the evolution of punishment and cooperation. As the game progresses, players are able to view the decisions of other pirates and teachers will be able to view how this changes players decisions.
