Terry Rountree began "smoking butts" in 2000, as he began coordinating large events for his previous employer. This gave him the "taste" of what it was like to meet the expectations of a hungry crowd. He then began catering from his home/mobile unit and business grew making him aware that he needed a catering building/location. Upon moving into the new location, he had many requests from customers asking to "eat-in." Thus, the small location was opened on a very limited basis. In the beginning phase of the small restaurant, family often assisted too! With "Coach" Lamb washing dishes in the back! As the customer base grew, the hours of operation increased and the building was expanded. And, new employees were added to the "TREE"mendous family! The polka dot pig, BarBie Q became more well known and loved! At this point, a trademark/brand was born...yes, "TREE"mendous (where the polka dot pig lives and where "we can smoke yur butt") was growing! In late 2009, a second location was added in Middleburg. This was a partnership and later sold; this location is no longer affiliated with "TREE"mendous BBQ. During this time, TREEmendous BBQ expanded to a third location, located in the small Baldwin community. Terry continues to take great pride in offering fresh, home made food at both locations.
