Description
Now what?
Well, you could write lots of unnecessary emails to improve your typing.
Or you could just use TypeDrill.
Even at night.
Because you know that accuracy is much more important than speed.
Or the other way round: Speed is worthless without accuracy.
Thats why you wanted to practice in the first place.
Practice thousands of different lessons.
Many of them specifically based on NLP techniques.
In different categories and with different levels.
And most importantly, your own lessons.
In your own language.
No matter what keyboard layout is being used…

Finally!
Finally a working tool that allows me to create my own lessons. And its a good looking one too. I own some apps from those guys now and they really know what theyre doing. Just one wish. Please make better stats. Thanks.

Bought this...go to try to use it and doesnt work!
Some 10.6.8 users cannot run this app - perfect on Mavericks
UPDATE - may not work on OSX 10.6.8 - works fine on Mavericks (I tested on both) Michael responded very quickly once I opened a trouble ticket on his site. He understood the problem - it affects some but not all 10.6.8 users. There is an Apple Xcode bug which Apple isnt planning to fix since they have moved on to the next version. He has no control over that so some 10.6.8 users will be out of luck. I got a laptop running with Mavericks and the app installed and ran perfectly. It is clean, simple and does what I want based on my initial 15 minutes of testing. Ill update later when Ive had a chance to try entering my own practice text - thats the key feature. I looked through Michaels web site and it appears that he has written a lot of apps, is serious about his work, and has a good sense of humor. It is slightly worrying that TypeDrill does not show up in his list of apps, although it does have a support web page. It is definitely worth $2.99 - I give it five stars for now. I will update this review once I have more data to work with and adjust the rating if needed. Thanks Michael - so far so good! --------------- (Ill update this rating as soon as something changes - Im in IT so I understand things can go wrong. I hope this works - then I can recommend it to everyone.) Not good so far. Im running OSX 10.6.8. I bought the app from the App Store, ran it several times and Im getting that error message each time. "TypeDrill cannot be opened because of a problem" I will reboot and try again, then wade through the support page. Not impressed thus far - is the developer still around? I love the concept however - practice typing whatever you want and get a WPM score. The price of $2.99 is good - assuming it actually works. I havent opened a ticket yet, but sounds like I will have to...
Thank you!
I love this very straightforward and simply typing practice program. Its pushing me to work hard while having fun without lots of goofy graphics, bells, or whistles. It just plain works and lets you do the work you want to do - improve typing skills.
