The ÜberDoorman App is a companion to the ÜberGuest App which has been published for some time now. The ÜberDoorman App is one tool that receives the proximity information provide by the ÜberGuest App to alert and inform luxury hotel staff of pending arrival of VIP guests. Doormen and hotel managers will carry smartphones (with earphones) with this App to be alerted when the VIP guests are getting close to the hotel so they can prepare themselves to provide specific and customized services to enhance the arrival experience and stay at the hotel for these VIP guests. The ÜberDoorman App must utilize background mode Audio and Airplay to alert and announce (via earphones) the arrival of the VIP guests to the hotel staff noted above while displaying an image (pre-loaded picture) of the guest to help the staff to recognize that guest. The alert and announcement will be a "ding-dong - arriving guest" along with the play of a pre-recorded pronunciation of the guests name so the staff can greet the VIP guest properly once recognized. Staff are also able to browse additional information about the guests while still being alerted of guest arrivals (hence the need for the background services). Although information is provided with the published Uberguest App, below is a description of how the ÜberGuest products work together. Uberguest is a location (proximity) based automated system designed for luxury hotels to enhance the arrival experience for VIP guests. The product suite provides hotel staff and management adequate time to prepare for the arriving guest along with pertinent information about the VIP guests to enhance the arrival experience. The overall system provides hotel staff a web based portal to check for arriving guests (so they can handle their check-in process more efficiently) along with the UG-Manager App to provide much of the same information on a smartphone with announcement and image/name-pronunciation of the guest.
