Update: I had written the review below about the esthetician I was sent. They have completely not only disregarded my review of her on their app, they have deleted it in its entirety and written their own positive words and ratings! I have never seen anything like this before. Flat out lying to its customers and committing fraud. Is this really the kind of company you want to use? I have contacted them regarding this. Waiting to hear back. Will update once I do. ---------------------------------- I am writing this review here becos on the app they will decide whether or not to post my review as I guess they want to control and only post good reviews which is bad practice. So first the app itself is well made and works well and smooth operation. The services: here goes. I had ordered a diamond level facial for 1400 and 2 ManiPedis their spa version for 800 each which wasnt anything like a spa experience or product quality. I had someone called Sheetal as the esthetician. Urban Clap will probably get sued soon as they send and want their estheticians to use USED sponges and look dirty and disgustingly stained. Each client MUST get a brand new set. Its hygiene the most important thing is ignored! She offered to use tissue instead. She was really great at giving a facial and shoulder massage. But it wasnt really a facial. Not by my standards at least. Maybe in India this is what they call a facial. A professionally trained and certified esthetician first analyses your skin under a giant lit magnifying glass then determines what facial treatment is needed according to existing skin condition and problems. My facial came out of a pre decided package/satche. But I guess this is UrbanClaps fault for not training them in the proper manner and whatever Indian institute shes studied from. But her hand movements were good. Also in india I think extractions only means black and white heads. Extractions very importantly also refer to acne and under surface hidden acne that needs to be cleaned. This wasnt even attempted. Next Id like to give her a 1 star for a mani pedi. The lady first came with a broken soak machine so I had to keep providing her with hot water that had to be heated in my kitchen then transported to the location we were sitting at. She does not know how to skillfully cut and shape nails. My sister had the same complaint and really hated her mani pedi. Also acetone is really bad for your nails but she only had acetone so I had to give her my own acetone free nail polish remover. She also took off for 40 mins to go eat something. She also used my toilet and didnt flush and left the toilet seat open. I think you must be incredible careful and respectable while using other peoples things and personal spaces. I think all this comes from training and common sense. So if training is what it takes, whoever is in charge needs to look into it. She was nice and very willing to really help but fault lies in Indian standards and lack or hygiene and professional outlook and standards.

I used this app mostly for beauty services and cleaning services. The app does not hang. Its very useful and easy to use. Love it.

Ive found a makeup artist, home cleaning services, tv repair person, newborn photographer anda yoga instructor , all through this app !! and all by just entering my request in an app and not having to spend days googling and taking recommendations from a million people ! Within minutes , i have bunch of people contact me and i can easily compare their quotes and choose one ! The app is designed in such a convenient to use fashion. I really like the chat feature, which Ive used sometimes if I need advice on which service provider to go with .. The customer service team seems to be very prompt and has always helped me out with it.Strongly recommended ! and a no brainer app to download if your new to a city !
