Description

UV Index Today provides an accurate hourly forecast of the UV Index from anywhere in the US. We use the index to judge how best to protect oneself from overexposure to the sun. The UV Index measures the amount of harmful ultraviolet radiation expected to reach the Earths surface. Establish an internet connection and the users location is found by the GPS. View the hourly UV Index forecast for that location, and prepare for your day accordingly with recommendations for sunscreen and protective clothing and, if necessary, what time of day might be best to stay out of the sun. The UV Index data is reliable and sourced from the Environmental Protection Agency. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch. Continued use of GPS dramatically decreases battery life.
