Description
This app is part of an exciting new program to use the iPhone to help VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) patients manage their daily VAD care outside of their cardiologist’s office. The VADable study uses a mobile application built for VAD patients, patient designated caregivers, and the medical team. We are studying how a digital platform can create superior information flow and better meet patient needs and to facilitate care of VAD patients, even when the patient is at home.
VADable is built on top of ResearchKit, by Apple. ResearchKit is a framework that offers core modules that include a survey engine, visual consent flow, and active tasks.
