Vertigo Music at Mac App Store analyse

I think the app is all over the place. You have to swipe right for this, swipe up for that, etc... Instagram is straight forward has for sections at the bottom which you can have easy access to. You should do something similar to it. Like make 4 sections on the side instead of swiping constantly.

The mixers are so much fun and I find people so similar to me! I also have won money with the contest they do, and I even got to see Taylor Swift at her last USA show because of this app!!!

Once this app has it’s user interface figured out and marketing is streamlined in the App Store, I think it will do really well. For instance, if you’d just add a GIF explaining the core featureset (sharing music with friends) as the first image in the App Store, the upward trends would climb higher exponentially as more eyeballs would understand the offering as it climbs a chart. The UI needs more attention for sure, and I think you’re probably losing a lot of users to that because there is a distinct learning curve (check out Heuristic Evaluation by Jacob Nielsen for explanations of why things like having a “how-to overlay” greatly inhibit usability and engagement). I know the core offering and how to navigate the app so I am able to see “the vision” here, but it’s a turn-off if an app has to be explained to you from App Store preview page to using the app itself - it’s like a good joke, explanation kind of ruins it. Simplify, streamline, and amplify with a GIF (I know the marketing GIF sounds like explanation, but it is passive explanation and not part of your UX).

I used to think that this app was the greatest invention since sliced bread but now I realize that it’s just a big waste of time. The past few times I’ve tried to access it, I’d automatically go back to my home screen. Good thing I got rid of it not too long ago. I never want to see that piece of crap EVER AGAIN!!!! Either fix these glitches or just demonetize it all together.

*revision, I had to reduce to a 4 ⭐️ because I can’t stand how when I’m typing a comment in the text box provided - the text box showing my words cannot be expanded.? See, this is a real big problem because they do not have an edit option for comments. So my question is: if you aren’t letting me clearly see my long-winded detailed comments in a reasonable text box that’s easy to edit, AND ITS UNLIMITED CHARACTERS ((which is aweeesoommeee, to write as much or as little as I want!! ⭐️for the unlimited characters!)) oh and also, how long are the video options for the “share your story”- 30 seconds? 35 seconds? and why can’t i record a vid for the whole song? Is someone worried that a my homemade vid would win BEST VMA OF THE YEAR?? Oh no, I guess that would put Kanye&Bey&Tswift outta a job ?♾®️©️ [past review: I AM A HARDCORE FAN OF THIS APP!!!! Anyhoo, I couldn’t give it a 5 ⭐️ because of this: when I’m jumping around the app seeing a lot of stuff - a song I really like will come in that is associated with a certain post by a person. Now you see vertigo will continue playing this song I like buttttt if I click somewhere else the song changes and it drives me nuts. I just want it to keep up with my brain which it does most of the time. So my suggestion is this: a button I can PRESS that holds the song I find playing until I’m ready for the new song...or something. You guys got ppl like @dan Dan Yen right?? ((Also I’ll mention when I’m posting a “share your story” the ‘sending’ white lettered orange progress bar goes up and then back down then up then weird? And sometimes just deleted my post altogether #discouraging))]

The app is nice for the music but you can search or listen to any of the podcasts that Spotify has.... That was the only reason why I was looking for a music sharing app. So far I have not been able to find one that lets you listen to podcasts with friends.
