Very interesting the way to resize via datas into field instead of dragging a windows like other apps. Please add PAUSE mode and BATCH mode. Wuold be great.
Works as expected
Cool little utility. Works as expected, even on my retina mac. It’s really simple and straight forward.
Very good.
Works very well. and so does this developer other app, Screen Resizer. I use them both along with other tools to produce demos for iOS apps. The interface of Screen Cropper is clean and efficient, I particularly like the fine grained control of the cropping rectangle. I’ve tried several similar apps, but none worked as well, if at all, so it’s refreshing to find apps that work as advertised. Keep up the good work.
Just what I needed
I was working on a video for Kickstarter, which requires 640 x 480, but apparently Apple took the crop feature out of iMovie, and it would only let me export my movie at 854 x 480 or some multiple of that. After Googling and not finding anything helpful, I searched for “crop video” in the App Store and found this. It did exactly what I need. Even if I never use the app again, the $5 is easily worth the time I saved in not looking for another solution.
Exports were corrupted
This didn’t work for me. I wish there was a demo. All files that I created with the app were corrupted.
Not worth $5
Thought this would at least allow me to level out a crooked video. Dissapointed to find out that it couldn’t even do that. Not worth the money.
Not very good
There are no options to specify output quality and the quality generated is very low. I opened a 4 GB file, cropped it slightly, then exported and ended up with a 200mb file. Suffice it to say, the quality was terrible. Further, the output file format does not seem to be compatible with standard Mac apps like Quicktime. I was able to open and view it in VLC, but nowhere else.
