Ive used these guides in a few cities, and Ill likely buy one again. That said, dont expect too much. The map is nice, although the icons get misplaced when you zoom and very small streets arent named. The nightlife & restaurant list may not match your tastes, but at least its something. You can find your own fun. The transit section is helpful.

Compared to a standard tourist map readily available around Vienna, this has only a fraction of the points of interest. Also, the mapping and subway information is completely useless as there is no way to show where you are relative to where you want to go and no routing information. The public transit is utterly pointless, as its nearly impossible to figure out how to get from point A to point B with just a list of lines and stops. This really needs a routing feature so you can know exactly how to get around the city. Was a total waste of money.

This app gives you a street map of Vienna annotated with a searchable list of restaurants, shopping and major attractions. Has your basic tourist information and Wikipedia information on major attractions which you can access without a network connection. Useful for US users traveling in Europe who dont want to spend a fortune on international data roaming charges. It has several key limitations: - you can find your approximate location on the map by searching for nearby restaurants or attractions but it has no "you are here" indicator - essentially no restaurant reviews, ratings, or links to such information Compared to buying a paper street map, it is cheap, more searchable and gives basic info on attractions.

Map function doesnt work properly. When you try to open Vienna map it will shut down app and return you to iPod screen. Money wasted on this app!

Nice layout and features for planning a trip to vienna. Like the ability to mark wish to visit (favorites). Hope it has ability to plot me on the map when there, if not will be a major missing feature.
