Description
Turn "picturing things in your head" into a daily habit.
Visualization Training is an app for strengthening your mental imagery — the ability to see pictures in your mind's eye — through short daily exercises.
WHO IT'S FOR
• Anyone who feels they struggle to form mental images (including those exploring aphantasia)
• People who want to make imagination training a daily routine
• Athletes and performers who use mental rehearsal
• Anyone looking for a fresh alternative to meditation and mindfulness
HOW IT WORKS
1. A prompt like "a slowly spinning metal umbrella" appears as text and is read aloud
2. Close your eyes and picture the scene in your mind
3. Rate how vividly you could see it
Prompts are generated from random combinations of motion, texture, and color applied to everyday nouns — so every session gives you fresh material to imagine.
TEXT ONLY, ON PURPOSE
This app never shows you pictures or colors. Showing the answer would leave nothing to imagine. The words are the only hint — the image is yours to create.
TRAIN WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED
Every prompt is spoken aloud, so you don't need to look at the screen. In auto mode, prompts advance at your chosen interval, and audio keeps playing even when the screen is locked — stay focused with your eyes closed from start to finish.
FEATURES
• Auto mode (spoken prompts advancing at a set interval) and manual mode
• Prompt languages: English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Traditional & Simplified) — doubling as listening practice for language learning
• Adjustable speech rate, session length, interval, chime, and haptics
• Track your training time (today / all time), session history, and a weekly goal
• My Words: add your own nouns and have them appear in prompts
• Dark & light themes, iPhone & iPad support
PREMIUM (ONE-TIME PURCHASE)
All core features are free. A single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited My Words (free tier: up to 10) and CSV word import. No subscriptions.
A few minutes a day is all it takes. Today's first session is the first step toward a sharper mind's eye.
