Description

Voice-O-Meter is a tool for anyone who speaks too softly, speaks too loudly or has difficulty modulating the volume of their speech. Speech-language pathologists and their clients can practice the "just right" voice needed to talk to friends in the cafeteria or the "just right" voice needed to speak effectively in a quiet room with a friend. The Voice-O-Meter gives visual feedback, making it easy to practice at home. Press "start" and the Voice-O-Meter will immediately begin measuring the volume of your voice. Practice keeping the volume of your voice "just right" so that the blue arrow stays within the green space on the meter. You can adjust the range of decibels included in the target range to account for background noise too! If youd like, you can keep data on your attempts to speak at your target volume. Voice-O-Meter will provide you with the option to email the data to yourself when you end your session.

The chime works when the decimal is too high but not when it falls below the set min.

Its broken

I downloaded this app to use with patients based on another SLPs recommendation, but my version is broken. Once the person reaches 80dB it keeps dinging until I close the session. This is really annoying and doesnt provide the right feedback for my patients. I cant figure out how to contact the developers to get a fix or refund.

More incremental dB goals please!

Im a Speech-Language Pathologist and this would be a 5 star program if you could adjust dB goals more incrementally by 1 such as a goal range between 66-72 range. dB range of increments of 10 really limits this program. This would make it more customizable for patients and have more flexibility with goals. I will give ya five if you can make that change! Thank you in advance :)

Although Ive been using this app for some time, my speech therapist wants me to adjust the dB levels. I am running the app on an iPhone 6, she, an iPhone 5. She can adjust dB levels, I cannot. Ive tried rebooting my phone, and deleting & re-installing app. But nothing works. Without this capability this app is useless.
