Great UI - lots of windows to cater to weather nerds and one easy to read one for those who want a simpler UI. But it stubbornly refuses to update to anything but the default city…which is in Michigan. ?!? I live in Joshua Tree, California. Needless to say, when rain is forecast for three days straight with temps in the mid-50’s F, you KNOW something isn’t right. I even tried changing the location several times, and it never worked. Plus, you can only change the default city - if you try to add more, it just changes the default location. Ugh. Steer well clear of this turkey until the devs fix its glaring flaws.

Don’t bother
Good app.
Been using this app even before the App Store existed, and it’s always worked well for me. Lots of customization options and fairly accurate reporting.
The best for ME!!
I live in the Greater Los Angeles area so weather is always good. All I really need is temperature trend and, in winter, chance of rain info. But, if you are a weather nerd, (as I am) I love the radar and long-range forecasting. The best option for weather, imho, is Firefox’s “ForecastFox”. But, if you don’t want to use yur browser, WeatherMan Lite can’t be beat.
Clunky UI. Great App
Weatherdock stopped working a few days ago. I chose this as its replacement. I prefer this app in most ways. My two gripes: Why is the menubar text the wrong size, and why is the background a different shade of gray than the rest of my menubar? Thats poor design. The preferences UI is clunky, but once the app is set up, you wont need that anyway. On the other hand, the way the forecast is laid out in the menu is excellent. And I appreciate the ability to remove stuff from the menu that I dont want (humidity, wind speed, etc). I also like the ability to have the menubar display only the icon and temp. To the author of the app: PLEASE fix the appearance of the info in the menubar to match the look of OSX. Fix that and this is a five star app, despite the clunky UI prefs.
Lots of potential if it would stop locking up
This app was exactly what I was looking for. The only issue I have with it is that it seems to randomly freeze; meaning the display in the menubar will be visible but when you click on it for the detailed drop-down nothing happens. I have played around with it for more than a week trying to identify a cause but I cannot. Once I quit the program and relaunch it works fine for a short time (maybe an houe, maybe six hours) and then locks up again. I cannot find a correlation to the lock-ups. Its a shame because this is exactly what I wanted in a weather app.
Cant even get it to work, no support
When I launch it, it says, "Weatherman Lite is damaged and cant be opened. Delete Weatherman Lite and download it again from the App Store." Ive done that four times and still get the same message. Emailed the author about this but got no response whatsoever. I refuse to buy the paid version if hes just going to ignore me. This thing has given me more trouble in a day than Weatherdock did in years.
Not working
I just downloaded it yesterday and it seemed like it was working and accurate. I start it up today and it says its 39 degrees when its actually 64. On top of that it says its raining. It hasnt rained in two days and right this minute its mostly sunny. I figured Id write this just before I uninstall it. Sorry.
