Well Grounded is designed for Parents with kids of all ages, providing them with an effective tool for disciplining their kids. As parents, you would have had some experience with challenging situations, like defiance , lack of cooperation, tantrums back talk, sibling rivalry, mealtime issues, bedtime issues, morning or school issues. This app is designed to give a consequence to those behaviours, instead of enforcing a punishment.
When we punish kids without even giving them a warning, we are just creating resentment in them because they feel that punishments are not fair; so the possibilities of presenting bad behaviors in the future just increases. But, when kids know in advance the consequence that comes after a behavior (positive or negative), they are more likely to consider that consequence and not repeat that behavior in the future if it was a bad one, or to increase it, if it was a good one. They do it because we are providing them with learning experiences, instead of just punishing them. And this is exactly what this app does.
You can mutually agree with child all the mistakes and punishments and this app will select from one of the agreed punishments.
You can keep track of behaviour of your child with date and time and the consequences faced for doing that.
The Behaviours and Consequences are compiled by Andrea Sanchez. Andrea Sanchez has degree on Psychology from the Rafael Urdaneta University in Venezuela.She has 6 years of experience working with kids, teens, parents and families; providing them with psychotherapy and coaching. She Studied on subjects like early stimulation, child development, neuro-psycho education and alternative teaching methods.
Nevertheless those are just examples/place holders.You can write your own and add images related to Behaviours or Consequences.
This way you can make your child do good deeds and instead of spanking pointlessly you can make some improvement every time they face the consequence.
