Turn your iPhone into a chiming clock. Plays one of 5 traditional melodies, not just Westminster. Check our our video at http://youtu.be/nT-aHbWiT0U Using the iOS notifications feature, Westminster Chimes converts your phone into an old fashioned hourly chiming clock, playing one of five traditional melodies: • Westminster • Whittington • St. Michael's • Canterbury • Winchester The chimes will play, even when the app isn't running. Simple settings allow for complete customization: • Separately set the chimes to play on each quarter hour • Chime the hour number on the hour • Play the chimes all day, or only during a specific time window. You can adjust how notifications are displayed in the Notifications section of the Settings app. We recommend the following settings: Notification Center: OFF Alert Style : NONE Badge App Icon : OFF Sounds : ON View in Lock Screen : OFF Banners: OFF Completely accessible for the visually impaired.

Tut was sie soll. Via iOS Benachrichtigung kommt der Ton. Einzig dummes, die Nachrichten sammeln sich im Anzeigescreen.

An admirable substitute

Our striking clock having ceased to operate, I sought a temporary substitute. The Westminster Chimes app has proven excellent for my purpose. Just the thing for knowing the time without looking at my watch!

A nice touch

This app gives a nice "human" touch to the computer with its gentle reminders about the time of day. Would be better if there was an option so that it didnt override other audio that is playing at the time it chimes.

Works great, just what I wanted.

Very realistic, natural sound

I love this app and its flexibility with options. I wish there was a setting to allow or disallow the app to affect the sound of other active apps or songs. Before the most recent update, the chimes sounded like a clock at home and I loved that. One of the changes with the update was to make the chimes sounds more realistic. Now I dont enjoy the chimes as much; they are very realistic, I have to agree, but now they have a tone and echo that is suggestive of a cathedral. This is lovely but not the kind of sound I want. Couldnt there be a choice of chime tones? "Cathedral" or "living room"? Something like that? Anyway, as it is, it is still excellent and certainly the best of all the others out there, which is why Im giving it a 5 rather than a 4.
